10-1-25 THOUGHTS
I recommended a reading of Psalms 119 to our Tuesday class yesterday. I thought I should take my own advice. Here’s a gleaning. We see a profound respect in David for God’s Word! He begged to be taught! David delighted in this pattern of living! It’s an “ALL MY HEART” SEEKING PROCESS! I’m convinced God blesses it!
Ps 119:9-16 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. 10 With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. 11 Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. 12 Blessed are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes. 13 With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on Your precepts And regard Your ways. 16 I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.
Our Prayer:
Lord, help our hearts and minds and souls to be absorbed in You and Your words to us. How wonderful is Your revealing of Yourself to us. We see Jesus and the cross and His resurrection in Your Spirit words... what a picture. Brand it in our souls, O God, for strength and love to live daily. May the joy of Your salvation be our reason for living. May we rejoice as we seek an abiding presence with You, our God! In our Savior’s name, Amen.
